Concessions Info

The SYHA Concession Stand raises about $10,000 each year for our association thanks to your volunteer support. The stand is open for SYHA games and tournaments, high school boys’ and girls’ games and tournaments, and other special events hosted by the Mandt Center. The concession season runs from November through March, typically weekend days and weekday evenings for high school games.

Complete the short quiz at the end and complete a 1 question survey to confirm your agreement with mandatory health reporting.

The Power Point presentation covers food safety and reviews the items we serve. Copies of the presentation will be available in the concession stand for reference, but you must review, complete the quiz and agree to health reporting to be eligible to sign up for shifts.

In-person training will be scheduled during practice times throughout the season but is not required for these two weekends. We strongly encourage new families, or those in need of a fresher, to attend an in-person training before signing up. Not to worry --there will be MANY, MANY opportunities ahead to fulfill your hours.

We will typically give you a1 day "heads up" when slots will be posted. The option of "hiring a student" to work your hours will be available in mid November as well. We have an updated floor, fresh paint and a new pretzel option to try. Volunteers have been busy cleaning, organizing and streamlining to make this volunteer experience as easy and pleasant as possible.
